About Us

Our Passion for Making

Hello and welcome to Scrap Stitching! We are a community of makers, fixers, and dreamers who believe that the best things in life are the ones you make with your own two hands. What started as a small blog about upcycling old clothes has blossomed into a full-fledged resource for DIY enthusiasts, crafters, and anyone looking to live a more creative, budget-friendly life.

At Scrap Stitching, we champion the philosophy of “Use What You Have.” We are passionate about sustainability, upcycling, and the sheer joy of transforming something ordinary into something extraordinary. Whether it’s sewing a quilt from scraps, repurposing vintage furniture, or organizing a chaotic pantry on a dime, we are here to guide you every step of the way.

Our mission is to prove that you don’t need a big budget to have a beautiful home or a stylish wardrobe. You just need a little imagination and the courage to try. We pride ourselves on creating tutorials that are easy to follow, honest, and achievable for beginners and experts alike.

Our Makers

Sarah Jenkins – Lead Editor & DIY Enthusiast
Sarah is the heart of Scrap Stitching. With over 15 years of crafting experience, she sees potential in everything others throw away. She holds a degree in Interior Design but prefers the hands-on approach of a glue gun and a sewing needle.

Betty Miller – Traditional Crafts Expert
Betty brings decades of wisdom to the team. She specializes in traditional arts like knitting, crochet, and canning. She is the voice of reason and patience, teaching skills that have been passed down through generations.

Sam O’Connor – Workshop & Repairs
Sam is our “fix-it” guy. From woodworking to basic home repairs, Sam helps our readers tackle the heavier DIY projects. He believes that repairing is always better than replacing.
